Deathsingers are treated as a chest drop. Thats why you only get it once.

But the question is, was it intended to be treated as a chest drop? The only info I ever got from Bungie directly was they moved the chest loot from the darkness maze to the deathsinger, never really saying "This is intended to be treated as a chest drop," and it was done BEFORE the hard mode, therefore there was no way to even check. Since this is the first week the hard raid is out, I want direct confirmation that this is to be treated as chest drop, and will only get rewards as such. And if it is to be treated as a chest drop, why was no other checkpoint in the vault of glass treated as such?

Bungie specifically said they would be moving the pit exotic chest to/as the deathsinger in a earlier patch.

Right... they moved the loot. The loot in a chest and the loot in a checkpoint have different scripts. That's why you can obtain checkpoint loot in normal, then hard, but only chest loot once. This was done before the hard mode release. I want to know if they forgot to program it to drop loot in the hard mode is all. Pretty much I want Bungie to say, "The loot from killing Ir Yut, the Deathsinger, will be treated as an exotic chest loot drop. If you aquire it on normal, you WILL NOT aquire it on hard." And they didn't say that. Simply saying, "The existing Pit treasure chest reward has moved to killing Ir Yut, the Deathsinger" does not cut it for me.

The vault of glass chests only give out once on both difficulties. If it's a raid "chest" it will only give one drop for both runs. I mean at least you can get something from ir yut now.

Well the rewards from Deathsinger are exactly those from an exotic raid chest so I believe they are supposed to be treated as a raid chest reward. This raid gives out gear so often that having loot on 3 checkpoints isn't a bad thing.
