"Fans" don't understand that this stuff doesn't just magically happen overnight.
Vault space - it isn't just adding space, they have to restructure the vault, replacing ours with the new one. I like to keep all my shit, so I'm all for them taking time to do it right.
Story in game - it's not. There is no system in place for grimoire in game, so if they decide to do it it's going to take a sizable overhaul.
Heavy Ammo glitch - likely 1 -blam!-ing number in a billion lines of code, but changing that number creates a collection of other questions.
The list goes on.
People bitch because the raids get fixed instead of other stuff, but there's likely a "raid team" focused specifically on that stuff, while other groups hunt down the other issues.

STFU. You obviously know ZERO about computers and computer code. Do you honestly think to add vault space that they would have to "restructure the vault, replacing ours with the new one"? Jesus fu(king Christ. Read a book, go get an education, or just put down the controller. The simple fact that they refuse to give us more vault space should tell you something. They don't care because they already have our MONEY.
-
Don't be stupid, it isn't just changing 1 number on one line of code. It involves a number of different changes to the actual vault and care must be taken because it isn't just 1 vault. The vault is out there online at all times. It's been done in other games and has caused issues with players losing bank contents. If rather they do it properly than lose all my gear, but thanks for the well thought out, mature reply. You serve to prove why bungie ignores this forum and it's members.

They could quickly and very cheaply double what you can carry until they fixed the vault. Any pretense that expanding the vault is being held back by technical or monetary reasons flies out the window when one considers the ease with which they could add a few slots to each char...
-
True but it's not high on the priority list. If they have to focus on fixing glitches vs adding vault space, I prefer fixing glitches.
-
my vault is half empty so I don't care, but I fully get the way the completest players would get upset. some player love to collect. I just burn my bridges cause I know I will not be passing this way again.
-
So what about the tumbler? You mean to tell me that coding in a sparrow that does tricks is easier than increasing the vault space? Bungie listens, they just don't care. Its not about how easy or hard it is. Its just a matter of do I want to quit counting all this dlc money, or get off my lazy ass and put together a team to handle these issues.

The raids got fixed? When?
-
They have no defense for vault space. Here's the level of difficulty for that. Vault maximum capacity: 5 Into: Vault maximum capacity: 10 It's literally just finding a number and changing it. A single number. Unless they coded it stupidly in the first place
-
It's a bit more complicated than that.
-
A bit, yes, but it's as simple as changing that one number
-
Edited by Bieltan: 1/26/2015 6:15:36 PMQuite a lot more really eh 😁 He'd be right if it was just a plain old list inventory, but its more complex than that - the whole vault system needs an overhaul.
-
I think there probably is a raid team. I'd just like that team to fix the RAID GLITCHES.
-
Dude, you're missing the point. They have all these expansions planned well in advance, how did they expect this type of vault storage would even be enough? Everything you listed just gives excuses for poor thought process and execution. If they know heavy ammo glitch is there, why not have Xur sell heavy every week? Why not give everyone a certain heavy every reset day? They acknowledge the problem and that is it. I am still losing 2-3 heavies every time I die or have to wipe in the raid because THEY messed it up yet have done NOTHING to correct it.
-
So don't die.
-
That's your response. Sure, I can control 5 other people's play in Crota Hard mode. Give me a break. At least TRY to make a decent reply.
-
You're willingly turning a blind eye. I'm a software developer myself and I guarantee you extra vault space could have been done MONTHS ago if they wanted to. Fixes which make the game more enjoyable for the user simply aren't high on their priority list. Only a blind person can't see that
-
Elitist mindset of the lead developer. This is why the players priorities will never be the same as Bungie's. You could see the writing on the wall with the handling of the Queen's Wrath armor. "Oh no! The players found a way to level gear quicker than we intended initially! Whatever shall we do?" "I got it. Let's take the ascendant shards off the dismantling material list for queen gear but keep it at legendary status" "but why not just make it a not guaranteed drop or rare item then?" "More work less profit and besides- the change control process with our outsourced development team is too much to handle" "no shards legendary it is then"
-
Omg someone gets it! Yes, I've been waiting for support on this matter, so thank you for understanding and acknowledging this company for what it really is.
-
Final-blam!-ingly someone actually understand how programming works.
-
You don't seem to...
-
Unfortunately for you, I do.
-
Unfortunately for me? How is that unfortunate for me that you "know" how to code. Do tell.
-
Proving you wrong.
-
Right...
People bitch because the raids get fixed instead of other stuff, but there's likely a "raid team" focused specifically on that stuff, while other groups hunt down the other issues.
Yet teleporting with a detainment shield & renegerating pretorians & disappearing swords are still present, despite numerous hotfixes for things that benefit players...you're right people should stop whining for no reason
