Should I take the risk and buy Helmet Engrams until I get the one I want? (170 Motes of Light)
I really need the upgraded version of [b]Mask of The Third Man[/b] for the Hard Raid for my Hunter (I have the 1.0 version). Without it, Blink Strike is my only option regaining health, and a Titan's Blessing of Light. I do not have Red Death or the Suros Regime.
I have 170 Motes of Light.
Will decrypting the engram [b]through my Hunter[/b] have a better chance of yielding Mask of The Third Man? I don't want to end up with Titan or Warlock Helmets unless it is the Dire Skull of Ahamkara.
EDIT #1 10.18 am (GMT)/5.18am (EST): I will try and post my results later when I get home. Its just past 10am where I'm from.
EDIT #2 8.45pm (GMT)/3.45pm (EST): After the Nightfall and RNG shitting on me this week, (3 void shotguns), RNG pitied me and gave me Mask of the Third man on the first try!

I wanted the same helmet! Had to try 5 times but 5th time's a charm! While doing so I also got the new arachnid helm!

Ask your warlocks to create orbs out of the yellow knights (16 - 18 orbs) and then just use your super on one thrall. Blink Strike make me rage everytime because it isnt OHK on a stupid thrall. But with enough orbs its fine with super (Mask of 3rd man still better i know ;()

Edited by RORYWAN13: 1/23/2015 10:09:46 AMI just got the upgraded 3rd man helmet, dismantled my old one. Go for it. I bought 3. Got 3rd man, obsidian, and apotheosis. Had 2 of them already. But worth it for the shards. Makes no difference which class you use to decrypt.

I had about 180 motes going for one helmet as well, didn't strike lucky and although the odds are against you, best of luck!

2 RepliesIn my experience it makes no difference which character you decode from, I do all mine from my Warlock and have an almost exactly even split of class items. As for whether to bother? What else will you spend that many motes on?!

Its all RNG. I always get Titan or Hunter exotic helmet on my warlock.

I too am wondering if decrypting them on different characters helps or not...
