Console - Elder Scrolls Online - Now No Sub Fees
Posted this in Gaming but I wrote it in a rush. Putting it in offtopic now with more voting options.
BTW it is not free 2 play in the sense that it is financed by microtransactions. You pay $70 for the disc and then it is free to play online. DLC is another topic.

You can't maintain and update an MMO without constant money coming in from somewhere. I hope they don't do what Bungie did and limit 10 people to a zone and pretend its open world.

I was planning to get it but now they dropped the sub...not so sure if I will. Only people in favor of dropping the sub were MMO noobs and gold spammers. Anyone who knows anything knows that sub fees HELP keep spammers away and HELP keep content rolling.

2 Repliesthis game is an abomination. it looks worse then Skyrim, has even worse animations then Skyrim, has worse voice acting then Skyrim, things seem to spiral off into random insanity, and it's got all the problems a bad mmo does. if you want Skyrim with multiplayer well, this monstrosity sure isn't going to do it. it's just a bad mmo with a TES skin.

Unless you like repetitive kill this, retrieve that quests, bland exploration, [i]many[/i] glitches, okay graphics, constant player boss farming, connection issues, crashes, and Stupid Stupid Stupid AI, This game is not worth the $ period end of story. but pvp is fun, but is boring if you don't have a horse to get you anywhere X(

Definitely will see about getting it with friends, but I'm not sure of Bethesda's business ethics so if this B2P model dips into P2W or if it begins to lock off future important expansions the way of DCUO, then it'll be a no show. Many people already have reason enough to be hesitant, they really don't need to f[u]u[/u]ck up their payment model.

This is what they do. Release on PC, then re-release on console. Makes them a ton of money this way. People may buy it, but it's not a new game. The updates will slow down and space apart. In my opinion, it's a poor MMORPG unworthy of the Elder Scrolls name. A cash grab relying on TES fans to blindly purchase it. Much like Destiny being bought on Bungie's name alone. If you're looking for a multiplayer version of Skyrim: you'll be disappointed. If you're looking for a console MMORPG, with an Elder Scrolls look: go for it. It's your money. (Not my recommendation!)
