So, when you talk about a game, you immediately feel awkward or depressed about it? Or am i not understanding this?

Not exactly. I can't bring up a game I like without it (usually) getting shot down and making me doubt my choice of liking it.

I know that exact feeling. Think of it this way. Everyone has interests and opinions. What's important is that you do what makes you happy. If you like a game, and people repeatedly tell you it's shit, and you stop playing, you probably won't have much fun. And if you play a game you don't want to, you won't have any fun either. Trust me, I've been told many times by certain friends that games I like are pure utter horse shit. Play what you want to play. If you find entertainment playing games like...watchdogs for instance because you find it fun, while others think of it has a graphical mess, then FINE. Why should that have effect on you? Am I still on topic or did I go off?
-
Your still on target. I find myself playing less and less nowadays and it bugs me. For instance, I love halo and I had a blaat with the halo 5 beta. Yet the constant hatred thrown at it rang in the back of my,mind the whole time I was playing it. It added this bitter aftertaste to something that i dearly loved and I hated it.

A thought out bad review probably just makes you realise where the game fell off.

Bad taste in vidya does that.
