I have one question and this shouldn't be taken in a troll manner it's a serious question. Losing friends and wives over a game you no longer really play any more don't you kinda feel any regret knowing now the game wasn't really worth it in the long run ?
If my wife ever gave me an ultimatum over destiny (because I myself have probably decimated 600 hours on this alone) it would be in the bin so fast we wouldn't have time to debate.

There was probably more to it. There usually is.

The game wasn't the real issue. She was just not ready for marriage she wanted to party and drink and sleep around. So she tried to blame video games for her lack of morals. Nothing I could have done would have changed her.
