Um, when you do a strike, raid or crucible match, are you not doing it for a reward? Granted, you don't know what you'll get, but still you are doing it for a REWARD. Which means that you are earning whatever you get whether it's random or not. You did the strike and got a blue gun? U earned it...because you finished a mission. The way you all carry on about it seems like you think we with IB and Gjallarhorns simply sit around the tower waiting for the postmaster to give the good shit away.... Earned my stuff fair and square. Whether shards or exotics I did something to earn it. So there. :P

I got my first IB from a nightfall 2 or 3 months. I technically didn't earn it as it could've rolled me a random piece of crap. RNG was in my favor that day.

Also, that shit about joining and doing nothing to get an exotic is bullshit, that needs to be fixed for sure. But the shards, you earned them so don't let anyone tell you otherwise

You did earn it... You did an event of some kind and got a reward. It literally doesn't matter what the reward is it's the fact that you did something to get it instead of have it given to you for nothing. Things we didn't earn: Halloween helmet, legendary holiday engram, etc. (those were given away and we did nothing for them) no matter how you spin the RNG angle, its got to come back to the fact that you did an event, mission or whatever and earned it.

No that shit should be fixed I think. But to say that no one earned their gear isnt fair on us that actually did grind to get it for ages
