Break Up and Keep Playing or ... NEED ADVICE
So my girlfriend gets pissed when I come home from work and play until I gotta go to work the next morning... So I don't sleep anymore at all, I really don't wanna miss out on any Loot, so I spend all my hours spare grinding Phogoth strike over and over... But I need advice she seems pretty pissed lately and acting as if I must choose between her and work or Destiny! It's pretty selfish of her IMO. I don't know if to break up with my girlfriend or give up playing for a few months....
Please reply with some advice fellow Guardians!

Possible troll? I'll bite because this is a real issue for some people, especially in the MMO genre. If any person who you are in a relationship with expects you to give up a harmless, and enjoyable activity in an ultimatum which could end a long term relationship is someone you do NOT want to have in your life. It will hurt for a while when you break up, but that hurt is much less than the years of misery if you chose the alternative.

Let's try the best of both worlds, shall we? How bout you play LESS but not quit and spend that time making your girl not hate you and your hobby? I mean, seriously, are you 12 or what? I don't know what scares me more; that you haven't thought of both this yourself, or that you'd trust a gaming forum for this kind of help...

I was doing CE t'other day and there was one guy in the fireteam who was pretty quiet the whole time. Then his girlfriend came over to him saying to "get the hell off that f**king game". He just said he can't right now, he just needs to finish this last bit. Argument ensued. Couldn't hear the details much. Heard a massive slap and her shouting "YOU'RE SUCH A F**KING AS*HOLE SOMETIMES". Player disconnected.

Ignoring your family or loved ones and missing sleep, are signs that you have a problem. My advice. Limit your play time on Destiny and increase your time with your loved ones.

Cut back playing. I was in the same boat so I stopped playing every day after work, and barely played on the weekend. It got to the point that where she started asking me if I wanted to play my game. Honestly, the loot is not worth your relationship. Bungie may -blam!- you every day, but which one feels better?
