That is the light reflecting off of my septum, I picked my nose right beforehand. The stain you're referring to is the Orange light from the Titan on my Titanfall shirt.

Impressive. I shave mine late spring every year and start it back up early fall. I'll have to look into the beard oil, mine is a tangled mess in the morning...

Yeah, if you shower, just comb and use after, a hot shower seems to take the knots out pretty well.
