And any girl who calls themselves a "girl gamer" isn't a gamer at all. Guys don't state their gender before mentioning they're a gamer. It's just attention seeking.

Not always true. I usually call myself just 'gamer' but it depends if it is a situation where I feel the extra clarification is necessary. I also will call male gamers guy gamers in certain situations. And this is a 'girl gamer' that's played her entire life, spends an average of 5+ hours gaming a day, and has played everything from dark souls, mmos, and cod to minecraft. To me people bitching that 'girl gamers' are fake is just as bad as people who think we're useless. I'm proud to be female, and proud to be a gamer. And I'll damn well call myself a Girl Gamer if I want.

It's the internet, princess...it's full of trolls. And if you can't handle it, then you should indeed retreat to the kitchen. Any other TRUE female gamer like myself, would let their skill do the talking. Then bathe in the glory of silencing them due to absolutely shitting all over them.

Oh yes. You clearly don't feel the need to post it all over the internet 'Females Finest'. I'm not trying to lord over anyone. I was making a point of not giving a shit about being called a 'girl gamer', and how that doesn't mean I'm not a true gamer, or that I can't kick ass and take names.

Gaming has nothing to do with that superficial idealistic nonsense you're spewing, thus it's the fact that if you resort to saying you're a girl gamer you must have issues outside of gaming you need to deal with... Whether that be sexuality confusion, sheer stupidity or a lack of common sense. It doesn't matter how long or many games I play? I'm a gamer, I know this because I fcking love video games. Lol. You're making this too complicated. That said I'm aware people are discriminatory, and elitists and all sorts of dividing concepts so that goes with saying anybody who disrespects your gaming simply because you're a girl has a problem of their own... However demanding things, especially something like seeing your subjectivity to the world is impossible and therefore you must accept it and move on. Note: I played dark souls for days without beating it, still kicked other's asses in pvp. Time spent doing anything doesn't require a skill? You spend time doing said thing to learn how to make the experience more enjoyable/manageable. So what I am saying is if you're truly a good gamer, you would play your games and gain achievements and show off said achievements in game whether through chat or whatever that's the purpose of linking you with others on consoles. The only reason you should be arguing for girl gamers like this is if that was your sponsor, ie pro gamers should be socializing and giving their opinion- until then you should play to enjoy and stop bitching about how you're entitled to respect for being a gamer because you spend more time gaming. Guess you haven't heard of "home is where the heart is"?
