i play as a sniper my main weapon is a scout rifle so i will stand on that cliff and i will snipe. My load out is ment for sniping and it is the play style i enjoy. Now when i get to the boss i will sit on a ledge and stun lock him while the others kill him. when im out of rounds i change to my scout and take care of trash mobs while my other friend takes care of the boss. So long as the person is not sitting there doing nothing you should not care how they play. I also have days where i punch my way through the strike.

you should learn how to read as well. i am speaking about the strike in general. i sit up on the cliff in that room where you fight the vex waves. i am a sniper it is what i do. When we GET to the boss i do what needs to be done but before hand i am happy at a distance.
