So now I hear the helmet does change color for the males, it looks like mine is defective. Let us Titans work on getting this fixed by bungie.

Do you mean the actual color of the helmet? Or the glowie bits in the middle? If you mean the color of the helmet itself then your female has the defective one. No exotic armor changes color regardless of the armor shader you use. If you mean the glowie bits then I don't know what to tell you because my male titan's glowie bits function properly. Execption: the hunter's Symbiote helmet changes color.
