This Week's Dilemma (Obsidian Mind or IceBreaker?)
Hey everyone, so I have a bit of a dilemma. I can only get Obsidian Mind or IceBreaker this week, with the amount of coins I have, and I've done all that I can with the exception of more strikes. I'm currently rocking-
Payback SOS
Murmur
Truth (Exotic Weapon)
And my only exotic armor is Starfire Protocol, which isn't really useful (and it's ugly af) as I personally dislike Sunsinger and am a fully leveled Voidwalker.
So, what should I do? I want Obsidian Mind since it not only looks better but would complement my play style nicely. On the other hand, I've heard Xur sells it fairly often (I've been around since October, can't remember seeing it though). But then there's the all powerful, ammo recharging IceBreaker. What do you guys think? Please back up your opinions, so that I can also convince myself one way or another aha.

Dude buy ice breaker ur useless in a lot of pve without it plus it's never sold and the reason u haven't see obsid mind cause it's a "the dark below" exotic

Just an idea depending on if you have the time, you can create a second char /same class level to 20 and do the heroic (just swap the armour) this would result in another 9 coins and completing story gains you 1 so 10 assuming you have say 20 coins you will be able to buy both.

2 RepliesThe best advice I can give u!!! Is create two more warlocks, should take about 6 hrs a peace to lvl up to 20. Then transfer ur gear and do the weekly nightfall two more times. U have tonight and all day tomorrow for this so should have at least some one set once before Sunday re set.

thankfully i have enough coins for both, however if i didnt id go for whatever i needed the most IB can be changed between characters and is great for unlimited ammo\solar burn. It is highly unlikely to be sold again anytime soon. OM has never been sold but id imagine he will bring one of the other helms before he brings IB back

IceBreaker. It's very useful, and will help you more than Obsidian mind will. Sorry you had to choose between the two, but It's very improbable you'll see IceBreaker again (with 20 somethinge exotics against 10 something exotics for warlocks) with xur

Icebreaker all the way, but I feel bad for you because the Obsidian mind is awesome for a Warlock. Time for you to spend a week on a secondary and maybe a tertiary character.

Ice breakers 100%. Obsidian mind is nice, but when it comes to getting nightfall sir raids done your best bet is to roll sunslinger, making obsidian mind a little worthless to use because it's a voidwalker helmet. In short, OM is for fun

Def Ice Breaker. There are far fewer Armour pieces thus it's a lot more likely to come up again. The stat roll isn't the best either on the Obsidian Mind he's selling. I had two (just sharded one) with a total boost of 105 and 117.

5 RepliesYou can always find another helmet, and while this one is good, if Xur does a helm engram you have a chance to roll it. Pmus, probably a better chance he will sell it again. Ice Breaker is a -blam!-ing unicorn man, if you dont buy it, you will regret it for a long time.

icebreaker, an exotic helmet is not rare, Xur will always have one available, Icebreaker will not. buy the gun, regen ammo is the best perk in the game

23 RepliesYou should have polled this. Do Icebreaker. And stick to Sunslinger. It's a far more versatile class for PvE. Voidwalkers don't have the utility that Sunslingers do in raids and strikes.

Get IB you can always get OM from a xür helmet engram. I bought both, but If had to pick it would be IB
