Same issue here! We got to Crota (without cheesing) easily as we work well as a team but beating Crota when its laggy is damn near impossible!! When we came back later to kill him, it was smooth so we killed him with 3 sword bearers.
Please Bungie, invest in some more servers or fix the ones you have to operate efficiently.
