This is caused because people are too lazy to set up their router and forward ports, or they are doing it on purpose. Bungie should just not allow people with poor connections into crucible, and link them to the port forwarding page. It is also the same reason some have nat issues in party chat.

Also ports that Bungie uses are also used by other equipment, and port forwarding may not be viable solution, I personally do not want all incoming data on port 80 sent to my PS4. If my PS4 was the only thing on that router that would be great. but I have an entirely wired house. Even my refrigerator has Ethernet. Kids playing games on other consoles, Netflix on other TVs. I have multiple consoles in my house as well. so Port forwarding everything to s specific Console wouldn't work.

I have a 100mbps cable connection, with static ip routing and proper port forwarding. The only games I won last night were those that I had a red bar the whole time. Games with green connections would always have random deaths from invisible people in places they couldn't possibly be after chasing them down.

as much as i'd be inclined to agree with you I'd also like to say that I myself have not dealt with the kind of red barring i saw last night in the IB. normally I have a very good connection, I even bought a router to bump my speed up but even with that my connection bottomed out last night... it didnt make any sense. Myself and the one other person in the fire team red barred, two others on the team as well. Sometimes this was at the start of a match sometimes everything was good till the middle of the match. Is it cheaters? possibly. Am I cheating? Definitely not. Is bungies constant tinkering making things better or worse? thats tough to say because my over all experience was amazing at launch and its slowly been a down hill clavin and hobbes esc ride... right now I am soaring through the sky past the moon and wondering if the ride will level out or keep its steady decent.
