Probably environmental issues. For they affect us all. Once we've made some progress with that, I think we could move on to other things.

Well I chose these three options specifically, which of the other two (scientific innovation & government) do you think helps/sets back our improvement of the environmental situation the most?

Government probably works against environmental advancement, but technological advancement kind of goes hand-in-hand with environmental prosperity. We basically need a lot of reform, and better technology could help (greatly) with that issue. I say Government works against the environment, but I meant they do so indirectly. I know Obama has done some good though, so there's that.
