XUR! - Buy heavy synths or you're a noob/CASUAL
If you aren't spending these hard earned strange coins on heavy ammo synths you might as well consider yourself a Christmas noob/CASUAL. You probably suck at raiding and everything if you spend your strange coins on anything else!
Edit 1: Don't be the reason why your team has to wipe! Buy HEAVY AMMO SYNTHS!
Edit 2: I'm honestly not trolling unless you say something stupid. If you think buying heavy ammo synths is a bad idea, i don't know what game you're playing. I don't know if you raid, I don't know if you ever have slackers on your team. I know how to play the game and I know how to be a valued teammate. Buying heavy ammo synths with glimmer is counter productive. Who wants to spend hours farming glimmer? Not me and if you have most exotics already you wouldn't spend strange coins on them again. Get good, don't settle for less.

Edit 4: those who think buying heavy ammo synths is pointless, you are also now considered a casual. I have a shit ton of hours and I'm ok with that, with that being said I have just about all the exotics soooo I don't need to buy the ones XUR sells. I'm not a casual so I don't need to save coins to but exotics?
Edit 5: If you still spending all your coins on exotics your a casual noob bro. If you've been playing long enough you have all the exotics you need.

Got the last word cause it was 2.0. Got hunter chest piece cause it was 2.0. Spent all the rest of my coins on synth. Only got 120 but got 2 more weeklys to do. I'll have ammo for days

You make a good point. I will buy heavy ammo with coins if I have enough after I buy lucky raspberry. I have never needed glimmer for much besides synths though so it all depends in what you need

2 RepliesEdited by Jaccoon: 1/9/2015 7:31:45 PMFor all of the Kinderguardians and people too lazy to do the math, Because it is more economical and an arbitrage in the game 1 coin~4500 glimmer in heavy synths You get 9 for a weekly~40500 glimmer equivalent at 5k/10 mins in exclusion zone, that would take you 86 minutes, or roughly 1.5 hours, and 8 race items to get one weekly glimmer equivalent, assuming no overflow and lost glimmer because of the cap 3 weeklys~ 121000 glimmer a week in coins plus a bunch of engrams that could become coins and more glimmer, Plus MORE glimmer with item on that could be used for upgrades instead. Using glimmer on synths is a waste because it is a better value to buy them with coins (much less work), and coins do not purchase as many useful things
