So as you know young paladins such as level 1 cannot and should not hold an exotic. Though a level 20 with no extra light just a flat level 20 is going to have a harder time finding one And yet alone wield one. So a level 20 will have a hard time wield one compared to a level 20 and a half. You feel me? Every light gained is going to mean easier to obtain and wield more power so no need to nerf . the community needs to understand to earn and stop complaining . this would really make it feel like you're a badass. Why? Because you're a higher level. So the power of light helps steady your handling with weapons, aim faster,move faster while aiming, less recoil. The lower the light power you will have issues with All that.... You though as the developers will have to figure out how each class and light ratio will affect the way the character handles each weapon . common.uncommon, rare,legendary and exotic . like a true RPG with elements to boost these features like subclass void helps handle void weapons and so on. So a warlock would have a hard time handling a rocket than a than a titan but a hunter wouldn't have that much of a problem yet not as close to a titan. So to recap light helps gain and control high grade we weapons. Classes and sub class have boosts to certain weapons as well of course as gameplay which is easy to see right now.
