What stage was it caught?
Because survival rates are very good for Hodgkin's if caught early. It really makes me think that she doesn't know the severity of the consequences here.

No clue how far. She was taking treatment as far back as November. But what does it matter if she understands or not? It's her body. What if she doesn't want to fight it?

It became the state's business when the person objecting to the treatment elevated it to get a court ruling on the matter and kept on escalating it to the State Supreme Court.

No. The state got involved by forcing her to undergo treatment.
