Honestly, I don't think they will. Being able to change radiant energy to shards and shards to energy is already being pretty generous.

But why not have another way of getting radiant material, as I said above having a 1:1 ratio would be pointless as the 180 odd ascendants exchanged into radiant at that rate would render the raid obsolete as you would have more than enough to level up your gear. have it at 10:1 and you get 18 extra radiants which will help upgrade one piece of gear still a grind but it doesn't leave you with an overwhelming amount of ascendant material just sitting there building up

This is just my opinion, but I would consider us lucky biggie even gave us the ability to change our materials. They didn't have to do any of that.
