This is sadly a game if you leave for a while you will miss out if you leave skyrim you know it won't go anywhere the armor will stay at the best you come back and your character is still a badass whereas in destiny you leave it and everything you've worked for will be obsolete within 2-3 months because of the dlc it annoyingly addictive

This is very correct

Is it? I'm pretty sure, as of now, if I left this game for six months I could come back and buy armor that's right under the level cap the day I return.

Edited by shadow202101: 1/8/2015 6:48:39 AMDestiny is not just about the gear people.. I love it for the challenge. I still raid VOG because its fun. So what I get shards that don't get me anything and the weapons are crap. I get a kick out of seeing Atheon die. I enjoy helping the Kinderguardians do their NF and weeklys. The fact my character is evolving is a bonus.

I don't think that is true. Anyone who missed vanilla Destiny immediately caught up with Crota's end. I'm sure when House of wolves comes out the vendors armor will jump to 32.... Which means you won't miss a thing except a few weapons in a raid.

Edited by Silvurphlame: 1/8/2015 5:31:30 AMIf you leave this game for awhile the grind will still be there. You could drop out until HoW releases and be back at square one - with everybody else. Destiny holds no addiction for me anymore. I'm not spending a single ascendant material until I either have all DLC legendary gear for my new Hunter, or until after HoW comes out and I know my efforts will remain valid for more than 90 days. Just my two cents…

I think you could leave this game today and pick it up again in sept and still be completely fine. hell you could jump back in just before destiny 2 the base will be maybe 33 by then and you will have just one set of armor to earn /buy

True I do like this game but although I continue to grind I never feel like I'm getting anywhere but I guess that's what RNG does
