I heard that too, but it said it would be quickly dismantled by many Guardians, so I believe that it would be neither.

The only other thing it may be is a new type of weapon similar to the Husk of the Pit. Upgradeable from junk to gold. Never know most likely we will not know till Xur arrives i have a hunch.
