Hi daDOOsk1, Thanks for the post here. I appreciate the interest and passion over the investigations Bungie is conducting on different network and connectivity issues affecting players. However, with game development, the idea "It's ready when it's ready" is very true. Investigating, developing, and rigorously testing any change is a delicate, time-consuming process and sadly I won't be able to share any details about the work being completed here in the studio until that work has been [i]100%[/i] completed. Here is what I can share. The responses you see on this forum from BNGHelp accounts are [b]not [/b]copy-pasted text blurbs that we fire and forget. Each is written (ok, typed) by hand and we genuinely want players to have an awesome time playing Destiny.I can share that our troubleshooting suggestions work for many players and it's great to hear them come back and say they are online. At the same time, our steps are not a magic bullet and some issues cannot be resolved with changes to a home network. We know and acknowledge this. At the end of the day, we will continue to work towards problems players are reporting. Posts that help point us towards your experience (using this page as a guide: http://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12425 ) can help expedite our process. And, as always, thank you for being patient with us.

  • Was this really an "it's ready when it's ready" response to an inquiry about what the developer is doing to address newly created (ie post patch update) connection and server issues on a game that was supposedly finalized and SOLD to end user purchasers more than 4 months ago!?!? Really!?!? Well, I guess at least a response was given. I've been posting about server connection problems I've been having ever since the last pre dark below patch update for more than a month now, and have never gotten any manner of response. I guess this is why. I asked the same question, and the response is just "it'll be fixed when it's fixed." Oy vey!!!

  • This game has been out for months now and you're still blaming the problem on your consumers? One look at the forums and you can see this is still clearly a major problem for a vast majority of people. I've gotten enough baboons to run a frickin zoo thanks to this. No other game I've played on ps4 does this, not one, wired or wireless connection. If you guys as a company would give us the common decency to tell us either it's gonna be able to be fixed or this is how it's gonna be for the life of the game maybe the ones who can barely play the game can move on and you guys wouldn't get the constant waves of rage. 100 dollars for a limited edition I can hardly stay connected to is ridiculous.

  • Yeah I thought that at first it may have been my end as all my friends seem to be getting on fine. However, being able to play every other game online suggests there is an issue with my internet and bungies servers. I think the two of them might of had a falling out. Maybe one asked the other to get chocolate icecream but instead got vanilla... No one likes vanilla. Not even the people who invented it. Fark you vanilla.

  • Now that is a response I am happy with, I appreciate you are working to find a solution but in all honesty apart from this response it has been pasta you guys have responded with, I am very frustrated as I absolutely adore this game and keep getting disconnected, here's what I can tell you I am connected wirelesly to a multi user modem from my ps4. I can play without disconnection from roughly 11p.m UK time to 10a.m. I have had I think every error message. I do not have access to my modem/router as like I say I connect to a multi user modem. I seem to mostly have problems on cosmodrome when connected, I weirdly can only play strikes intermittently. I only have a problem with this game. If you need any further information please don't hesitate to message me, I really appreciate the time to write this reply and I with every gamer experiencing these issues wish you luck in your quest for a solution. Please keep us updated on further developments. Thankyou

  • Thanks for the reply here, daDOOsk1. Destiny needs a strong and stable connection and we do not recommend using a wireless connection to get online. I understand this may be your only set up, but the best experience will be had plugged in. If you have the chance, I recommend trying this test: http://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12147 It doesn't have to be permanent, only a quick test that will show if issues you are facing are a result of the home network setup or if the issue is upstream.

  • Hey bungiehelp01 I tried the suggestion, wired connection having disabled wireless on the modem and same result. I find it is at totally random times I either can't connect at all or get D/C'd whether it be before charachter selection, after, if I get past that point it usually starts to give me trouble in orbit mainly if future destination is earth, then its randomly when moving between districts on planets. I am at a loss as to what to do, but as you've said you are working on it and don't want to disclose anything untill it is 100% I can understand but please hurry as we really need to start enjoying this game again as we all admittedly still love it.

  • I appreciate that but I have friends who use only wired and still have the same problem as I do, I even ran a cable from my console to the modem and same result, one of my friends uses wireless, his signal never exceeds 60% and has download speeds of 6mb with quite severe signal drop, whereas I have 100% and speeds of upwards of 15mb. I read different troubleshooting solutions work for some but I also read that it doesn't for others.

  • UPDATE-16:08p.m UK time Just managed to connect, joined an omnigul strike, was a bit jumpy but hey its working and then right at the end I'm slamming omnigul with my hand cannon (hadn't died at this point) and blam black screen and back to orbit-Baboon, it didn't do the 'contacting destiny servers' bit it normally does though.
