In terms of story and best moments while gaming I'd either go with Guns of the Patriots or Snake Eater. In the end though, I'd probably go with Peace Walker as that's the game I sunk the most hours into and it had fun coop.
I honestly think that Phantom Pain is going to be the best Metal Gear yet. It's basically a really advanced Peace Walker which I'm all for.

I've heard mixed views on peace walker and guns of the patriots. I've not got a PS3 for guns of the patriots, but I've got the MGS HD collection, so I should probably give peace walker a try at some point.

Edited by Potomo17: 1/6/2015 8:07:08 AMIt is very different from the main MGS games but Peace Walker's main draw is upgrading your crew and base by capturing soldiers, rescuing POWs, capturing enemy vehicles, researching weapons, armour, camo, and tools to use in the field, and building your own Metal Gear, all of which is very fun. A lot of it is very hard to do without a friend helping however. I've never heard of any mixed reviews for MGS4. If there were any mixed reviews they were likely from people who aren't familiar with the franchise.

That's probably why I didn't get far into it, if its co-op orientated. There's one lower down in this thread of MGS 4. According to that, it was good for blowing shit up, but the story was nothing special.

It is a coop oriented game but my friend did a lot of it by himself and in all honesty the real game doesn't begin till you finish most of the story missions, as that's when you start really concentrating on expanding your forces. It's a type of game not meant for everyone so I can understand if you didn't get into it.
