When decrypting engrams there is a chance that they can turn into motes of light or strange coins. Is it possible that it decrypted into one of those?

Not sure and honestly didn't even think that could have happened but even if the engram says its a heavy weapon it can decrypt into one the mentioned items above?

When decrypting it lists possible contents as a rare item, a legendary item or upgrade materials. Have a look next time you get another blue drop.

It can be decrypted as ascendant materials, that may have happened.
