The only things I keep on my characters are their respective armor upgrade material (sapphire wire on hunter, hadronic on warlock) and weapon parts. The rest I keep in my Vault.
That section of my vault still has a few slots, but it's going to start getting tight of they add a new upgrade material like Radiant in House of Wolves.

I have a lot of telementary to upgrade weapons faster also but yeah if they add any new upgrade materials im going to have to start using characters as storage

The telemetries are in the consumable section of your inventory, but they were taking up a lot of space in my vault too. I just gave them all to my primary character and I'll pass them around like weapons if I need to.
