The Stranger. Who is she?
Anyone done enough research to know anything besides what we get from the minimal cutscenes about the stranger?
Who is she working for?
Where's her ghost?
Why does she give us a level 15 pulse rifle when we complete the dismal plot line of Destiny?

She doesn't have a ghost because she isn't a Guardian. Why would Destiny bother with a story when people like you don't even pay attention to the few lines of dialogue that are already in the game?

2 RepliesShe is a pawn of the goods. She works the same way in different cycles and guides the one guardian to the light, or more accurately put to the darkness. Kinda like Ethan hawk in Predestination. Without all the weird stuff, and having a somewhat of an celestial element to it.

The lack of ghost is easily explained. She clearly states that she was not forged in light. This means she is not one of the traveler's guardians, and was not resurrected by the traveler's ghosts. As for the gun: 1. If you just play the story straight thru, and do nothing else, this gun will seem really good when you get it. 2. The description on the weapon indicates that the stranger and her weapon, have traveled to our time from the future. From that I'm guessing we eventually meet up with the traveler again, perhaps even in her present day.

In the golden age FWC had this machine that could do a bunch of sciency stuff. They used this machine to do math stuff knowing that there was a dark force after the traveler, and they used it to see the outcomes of if the darkness came back. The machine went through many scenarios and stuff, sometimes the traveler and guardians won, and sometimes they didn't. To ensure that the traveler didn't lose they sent an agent forward into the future to help lead guardians to fight against the darkness. TL:DR- Future War Cult had a machine that could make predictions, and some of them were bad. So they sent a robo lady into the future using the machine so bad stuff didn't happen.
