Another downside of doing this now is that you can't just level up to 28 or whatever and do the crota raid, you have to re-do the eris missions to unlock it again and that is just beyond tedious imo. I'm leveling up my hunter for the first time and I'm so bored lol...

The raid is not locked. Bungie kept it unlocked for all the day one players trying to be world's first

Make someone else party leader, get into raid, make you fire team leader , they leave , you solo , profit

You dont have to do the eris quest to do the raid, mine was unlocked the second i was of level. Only the strike is locked

Really? I just assumed that was how it was cause my warlock couldn't do the raid for the first chest til I was level 28. I probably did the eris missions on the warlock. Anyways good to know.
