There is a hidden mission though, after you beat the extremely tough public event by the old loot cave.

Extremely tough? Clearly you do not have Gjallarhorn! I evaporated Urzok about 20 seconds after he spawned with just me using Ghorn and my friend shooting him with Murmur and that was after I stopped to pop a Black Wax Idol and Ether Seeds and super all the dudes that were trying to kill each other.

That's because he spawns during the "shower" when the Fallen and Hive go into all out war for a few minutes. It's time to pop a Black Wax Idol and Ether Seeds and wade into the middle of it to collect some shiny shiny glimmer! You can also try keeping your distance and hitting Urzok from range with rockets or sniper fire and then wading in when he's dead. If you're lucky a few randoms might come along and help out too. I wish there were more showers though, that shit is fun! You could also join a clan so you no longer have to wander the universe alone ;)

That's not a hidden mission. It's literally the quest line you have to take to get the gauntlets.
