It's sad but yes it's awful. PvP in general is a mess but the rewards system is just plain awful. You can literally lose and do completely awful and get rewarded as much as those that try and do well. At least in PvE you have to succeed to get items. You don't get gear when you wipe on a boss in a raid. But you can sure as hell lose and go 0 and 20 and have just as much a chance at Exotics as badas mcgee that went 30 and 0. I remember in the first Iron Banner I was running with a solid group and didn't lose a game for something like 3+ hours of playing, and one game where we crushed the enemy team, not even close, someone on the enemy team got Thunderlord. Just ridiculous. If you lose you shouldn't even have a chance to get exotics. It's one of the big reasons why I never pvp unless I have a very good reason and don't mind virtually banging my head on a wall for a while.
