I firmly believe there is a programming algorithm that rewards poor performance for the sake of "balance". It's not fair and does not promote competitive gameplay.

Can't be true, because i am not the greatest of PvP players and I haven't had much luck with RNG. I got the Thorn yesterday after completing the bounty, the first exotic weapon i have ever gotten. I am a lvl 30. Its 100% random. The Knucklehead Radar i purchased from Xur. Only piece of exotic gear i got from RNG was Radiant Dance Machines, which i dismantled because i would never use them. I have buddies that get exotic weapons and gear left and right. I'm not complaining, though. The game is a blast no matter what gear you get from RNG. The only thing i am worried about is being one of the only guys on my friends list that has yet to do the Crota raid.
