Come back to me when you have maxed out your weekly amount of marks and you need to get new gear.

Ascendant mats aren't that easy to come by bro. I have too many resources and I need marks but I have maxed my weekly marks out.

I've got nearly 200 energies and shards across all characters all not being used and spare now because they're so easy to come by. Vog - drops and duplicate weapons/armour result in a bunch, public events, engrams, strikes, daily....at a low level we were all in the same boat and had to grind so why should there be a trade system now for the new guys to the game they shod grind too.
