Bad advice for christmas noobs...
With the recent flood of christmas noobs there has been topics of good advice so now this time.......What is some bad advice for christmas noobs?

8 RepliesEdited by gt4mawn: 1/6/2015 3:59:13 PMThere's these awful guns (and armour) that are yellow exotics and are considered the worst in the game. Don't be fooled by their attack/defence rating- the higher it gets the less damage you do and the more you take. You want to be dismantling these straight away as they give you exotic shards which unlock extra planets. You need 5 for Jupiter, 5 for Mercury, and 10 for Saturn. Most exotics give you 1 shard but there are certain exotics which are the worst of the worst and dismantling them gives you 5 exotic shards! These are: -Gjallarhorn -Icebreaker -Helm of Saint 14 -Heart of the Praxic Fire -Vex Mythoclast -Radiant Dance Machines Be sure to dismantle these straight away because they are useless and those planets are waiting to be unlocked! To unlock, you must: 1. Gain enough shards to unlock the planet. 2. Complete the story mode without firing a single gunshot. 3. Solo the Vault of Glass at level 23. 4. Get a 15 kill streak in the crucible using 'No Land Beyond'. 5. Assassinate Master Rahool in the hidden mission 'Revenge on RNGesus'. 6. Shoot the desired planet you would like to unlock whilst patrolling- this can take between 2-30 minutes. Then you are ready to go! EDIT: Thorn also gives you 5 shards for dismantling it.

Unlimited golden gun glitch - activate golden gun, stand in a puddle and shoot yourself in the foot with it (this will kill you). When you respawn, your golden gun will still be active with the remaining amount of super energy as when you died. It will not deplete and you are free to run around with unlimited golden gun shots until your next death. Enjoy

Edited by sergeantawesome: 1/5/2015 10:53:40 PMDismantle all your exotics because next DLC 20 exotic shards gets you the super exotic rocket launcher that goes in your primary slot. It does one hit kills on all enemies and in PvP. It has 17 wolves on it and is called fahrfregnugen.

Make sure to get a launcher that has rockets that will explode on proximity to an enemy. Then always shoot at the enemy furthest away while there is one meleeing you.

You can fire rockets from inside the Titan's bubble. There's a free exotic in Old Russia - if you head to the Forgotten Shore, go to the bombed out building on the hill to the right. There's a flight of stairs near where your Ghost analyses some radio signals, head down those to the basement to find the exotic. Enemies won't shoot if you dance at them. If you wave at them, they'll even wave back!
