Yeah I had the idea that they should make it so normally d-pad does emotes, but if you hold L to aim down sights the each d-pad could be mapped to one alternate gun/grenade/super of each type. For example. I can use a scout rifle primary, shotgun special and HMG as heavy with nova bomb as super. Then if I hit L+d-pad up it switches to handcannon primary. L+d-pad down switches to fusion rifle special. Etc etc. L+d-pad left would be rocket instead of HMG and d-pad right could be radiance instead of nova bomb. Let players choose which they want to be bound to which directional and you can also choose to have an alternate grenade, or your other subclass bound and can have more than one of each type IE have four diff primaries, plus the one you have equipped to have TRUE in combat weapon versatility without having to pause midfight and go to menu (which usually lags and takes at minimum ~30-90+ seconds to load for me which is seriously a killer in PVP or an intense raid boss battle.
