DDR3 Vs. DDR5. Yeah, no brainer. Hardware wise the PS4 was built better but, I can't recall it's damn name, XBONE has a small strip of some unique memory in it. Memory most developers don't know how to use yet. Unlocking it will be vital to the Xbox's survival I think. Stellar titles could help it float too, which in the end that's all that matters. Titles worth buying. Sadly Sony has gone down hill with that ever since the PS2. I have a 150 PS2 games compared to maybe 20 PS3.

Edited by FunkTheWorld: 12/27/2014 5:04:07 PMVital to its survival? The Xbox one is going to be just fine for the lifespan of these consoles without being able to use its ESRAM. They're both still very popular consoles regardless of how well the Xbox is selling compared to the PS4.

Edited by GalvatronVTS: 12/27/2014 5:07:43 PMYou're high. Sony has been outselling Microsoft by a long shot since launch, and last I checked there was a four million unit difference between them. Sony being the leader. Let's put that aside for another thread though. I didn't come here to start one of them annoying ass forum wars. When I said it was vital to it's survival I was talking from a developer standpoint. DDR5 is superior by far and it's capable of handling a lot, I may not own a XBox but I don't want to see it drown because developers are ignoring it. The advantage of having multiple platforms is having access to different titles. Not just the title itself but the mechanics and stories involved. Bayonetta 2 just might push me into buying a Wii but I highly doubt I'd buy another game for it.

Edited by FunkTheWorld: 12/27/2014 5:22:15 PMI literally NEVER said or implied that Xbox One was selling better than PS4. I know the PS4 is selling way better than the Xbox One, but that doesn't mean the Xbox is selling poorly either. They're both doing exceptionally well. And you don't have to tell me how much better DDR5 is than DDR3, I build computers and develop games for a living. I know it's faster memory. The thing is, developers literally never have to take advantage of the ESRAM inside the Xbox One if they don't want to and the Xbox One will still do just fine. Developers will continue to make games for both consoles regardless and the One will do just as well as it is right now.
