DDOS can be a hack, if its an amplification method where you only need a few bots. But just sending traffic over and over (assuming they have control of allot of bots in the 100's of thousands)

They do. It's called BOTNET. Just a bunch of artifical traffic causing server outages.

if i know what an amplification attack is, i sure know what a bot net is. If the attack is combined with an amplification attack. it is technically not a script kiddy attack and a vulnerability in a protocol.
