It doesn't even require any knowledge of scripting. There are a number of automated DoS binaries out there, free of charge and available to everyone with an internet connection.

Literally. Ever spammed someone's phone so hard they couldn't call out because you were calling in too much? That's a DOS attack (denial of service) a DDOS just adds the distribution, meaning it's a wide attack, across multiple targets, not just one person.

  • No problem. Ironically, I don't there even was a DDOS attack today... Since every year around Christmas, servers crash because of the massive influx of n00bs.

  • Um... They're taking their... And Bungie has nothing to do with it. Nor can don't or Microsoft do much, they can track the false IPs, and disable the source, or wait it out. After that... Nothing.

  • Yeah. I even heard of some services that you have to pay for to access a network that you can DDOS with. It's been a while since I have read about it though, might be wrong.
