Take your religion else where please. And yeah. Everybody spends time on Christmas with their family. That doesn't mean they shouldn't get to play games at all that day.
What about those distant parental folks or grandparents? They just tried to get involved with the kid by buying them a new game they talk a lot about and the kid can't even play.
That aside forcing something is never the correct way. It always has negative things in the long run. The problem of society today is most people want quick fixes and results now. They don't care about long term.
I don't care if the attack had good intentions behind it or not. It still doesn't make it justifiable. Any decent person should know that.
Take your religion else where please.
Are you really so intolerant of religion to the point where if the purpose of Christmas is mentioned that you write it off as religious bull crap? I agree with the rest of your post but that first part is just a petty attack.

I respect an individuals rights to have a religion. My problem arises when religion tries to effect government or my life in some way. The OP telling me what the day "really is about" with religion is offensive. Christmas has different meanings for different people. Shoving your make believe imaginary friend into others lives is wrong.

He's not shoving his religious beliefs down you're throat, the government isn't persuading you to be Christian. You're being paranoid, trying to find something to complain about, and you are disrespecting Christians in the process by trying to convolute the meaning of their day and referring to their god as an imaginary friend. What makes you think that Christians are going to respect your beliefs if you don't respect theirs? I bet that you're one of the atheists who have a problem with the word "god" being in the pledge. If that is the case then why don't you like the word "Christ" being in Christmas? If you want to practice the Christian traditions of wrapping presents and putting then under a tree then fine I don't think that anyone really cares but Christmas as a holiday is religious in nature to celebrate the birth of Christ. That is the only reason why the holiday exists in the first place and the origin is worthy of respect. If somebody wants to allude to that origin then I have no problem with it even though I don't practice Christianity and it's petty of you to try and tell them what their holiday is about. In short, quit making us non theists look like whiny little hypocritical babies.

Lol keep assuming. I don't give 2 -blam!-s about what's in the pledge. The pledge isn't a law. So I don't care. You've got it backwards. "Most importantly today is about celebrating the birth of Christ." That's him telling others what the day is about. By me disagreeing I'm not telling him or any other Christian anything. I've simply disagreed. Also if you're going to lecture me know what your words mean. Atheist and theists are different things. So you can't call me an atheist and say I give theists a bad name. I never told the OP he couldn't celebrate the way he wanted. I told him not to tell me how to celebrate it.

It's factually about celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. If you are not Christian then you do not celebrate Christmas. The whole day is religious. He's referring to his beliefs and what he feels is important in his Holiday. Christmas is not your day and you are a hypocrite if you say otherwise. It's the same concept with Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Ramadan.....etc
Also if you're going to lecture me know what your words mean. Atheist and theists are different things. So you can't call me an atheist and say I give theists a bad name.
I said "non theists" not theists. I used non theists because it is an umbrella term that covers agnosticism, igtheism, skepticism and atheism. Hopefully you will learn how to read better but judging by your illiteracy, I would be willing to bet that your rebuttal will completely miss the point.
I never told the OP he couldn't celebrate the way he wanted. I told him not to tell me how to celebrate it.
And he didn't tell you how to celebrate your holidays. You are simply being over zealous in the defense of your beliefs and you've managed to disrespect his beliefs in the process when you tried to justify your defense as to why you decided to lash out like a child.

-I'm not disagreeing with facts. People refer to this time as the holidays. and while each religion has their own version of "christmas" it's still the same ideals. So to me this time is about spending time with family. Showing each other our love and care. By me disagreeing with him I wasn't stating his ideal about christmas is wrong. I was stating that this time of year means different things to different people. And that's all i meant. -I have no rebuttal to this point. I made my last reply to you on the app and it was very late for me. I misread what you posted and retract that point with an apology. -He didn't directly state "people of bnet go celebrate christmas and worship christ." But he indirectly did. Or at the very least he worded it in a way to make it seem like he was implying it. It sounded in my opinion, that he was trying to use religion as a back up to make what lizard squad was doing was alright. Which i'll admit i'm biased towards since I 1) don't have the mentality that ends justify means and 2) that I detest when religion is every brought up in a logical factual discussion. Like everything else religion has a place in the world. And it's not all bad. But in my personal view it's done more harm to society then good and I hold it responsible for the reason society still has some backwards social views. Lastly don't call me a child. I asked him to take his religion else where with a please. You are the one who attacked me. You made false assumptions of me. You have insulted me. Your attitude could have been better. Instead of settling on what we were talking about you had to throw in personnel jabs at me as well. " lash out like a child." " judging by your illiteracy" "whiny little hypocritical babies" "I bet that you're one of the atheists who have a problem with the word "god" being in the pledge" "petty." which was used twice. All things in quotes were either false assumptions or jabs at me. I implore you to go back and look at my first post that I made to this thread and then re read my posts in our debate. Please point out in any of that where I lashed out like a child. Please point out where I told the OP that the way he celebrates is wrong. I said one offensive thing. About their god being an imaginary friend. I agree that was harsh and I do apologize. But it still doesn't excuse the fact that OP was basically saying it was okay for the hackers to do what they did because religious holiday. Nor does it make me seem like I was lashing out. I'm pretty sure children who lash out or have fits don't say please. I'm not an athiest by the way. If anything it feels like you lashed out at me.
