ITT: Post if you've only beat Crota the legit way.
Cheesers need not respond. Let us real pros gather and bask in our vast superiority over the rest of these plebs.
Beat Crota on the first week, last day before reset, after about two or three hours of attempts. The feeling I got wasn't as ecstatic as when I first downed normal Atheon, but it still felt good. Sadly, this raid feels a lot easier to me than the Vault of Glass did. Hopefully the next raid will outdo VoG.

Beat Crota the first week just before the reset. We were at it for 2 and a half hours and we kept failing. It was 20 minutes till reset and the leader said alright we have to get it right this time otherwise we are done. We kill Crota with 2 minutes before reset. Clutch!

5 Repliesfirst down was 100% legit.. usually after I've downed the raid completely legit I don't take a huge issue with a cheese now and then if I'm short on time.. so my second time around when a group said something about cheesing crota initially I wasn't bothered.. .then I saw what the 'cheese' was.. that's not cheese, that's not playing a game, I can't even understand the joy derived from that. won't catch me "cheesing" crota.

I've only done legit runs for crota, like a true guardian. It pains me that scrubs can now earn their raid gear and their emblems. It's gotten to the point where I don't even use the emblem on my main because it's absolutely irrelevant now. I remember when I had the emblem on the third day of the dlc release and it was rare. I was so happy to be one of the ppl that beat it on the first few days. Now we have ppl saying "looking to cheese crota"... Like really? It's actually easier and faster to beat crota legit if you know what you're doing. I hope that the hard raid will separate the true skilled guardians from the scrubby cheaters.

Took down Crota once during the opening week, and on all three characters the week after, and this week. Crota is very easy with the right team (whole raid is really), but we have started to cheese the bridge to save some time there.

To be honest, I felt a bit disappointed with Crotas' End. I felt it was too short, and much easier than VoG.

Beat him 5 times legit now, and one cheeky cheese on my Titan a few hours before the reset because I needed sleep XD I'm not ashamed, I wasn't accepting no Titan drop that week! (Still only got 2 energy on that one >,<)

I've done it 3 times carrying the sword on each one of my characters. I have killed Crota as every subclass in the game, the right way ;-)
