ITT: Post if you've only beat Crota the legit way.
Cheesers need not respond. Let us real pros gather and bask in our vast superiority over the rest of these plebs.
Beat Crota on the first week, last day before reset, after about two or three hours of attempts. The feeling I got wasn't as ecstatic as when I first downed normal Atheon, but it still felt good. Sadly, this raid feels a lot easier to me than the Vault of Glass did. Hopefully the next raid will outdo VoG.

My team beat it legit in just an hour or so. We went into the raid blind and only had to wipe a few times. I have to say the raid is easy and I don't understand why people want to cheese it. So long as you have teamwork you'll get it done every time.

It's too much fun to cheese - esp if you're the sword runner. it's great to see Crotas essence crumble to your vastly superior fireteam. swing swing swing ... die.

Yep a few times. Legit. A few days ago we thought we would see what all the cheese hubbub was about. We tried cheese 4 times and it did not work. We went back to legit way, beat him next go. Then we all laughed and said "jeez we suck at cheese, it's faster to to beat it legit". Never did get cheese to work, not a clue what we did wrong but none of us cared, legit is better, faster and works.

It's not really hard. Sword carrier has the hardest job and that is not really hard. Sucks though when because of lag the sword carrier get killed. When they fix the glitch, I hope they fix that as well

My group usually does it legit in 45 minutes to an hour. This raid is easier than VoG but way more fun. I enjoy doing it every time.

Does getting in that door underneath the room you start in count as cheesing it? Because thats the only way the leader of our group tells us to do it, and threatens a boot whenevet i do something different.

Nope I cheesed it cuz I don't have the time to beat him the legit way it's just easier to beat him in 4min! I don't care what anyone thinks. I do other stuff in a day soo I like to get it done quick

I busted my balls when it first came out to her all the gear and weapons beating him legit and then everyone is walking around with the gear they cheesed crota to get! I'm patiently waiting for my raid helmet for the hunter since I have don't touch me gauntlets and they're obviously not going anywhere, while them glorified level 32 cheese eaters prance around like they actually done something with their exotic helmet and 3 easily acquired raid armour pieces! Don't get me wrong I have the gear to be 32 just not worth it's shards wise, waiting on that helmet and my character is perfect. Merry Xmas

Everytime legit but once. I wanted to check out how the cheese worked. I only ended up getting 3 shards and everytime I've beaten legit I've gotten a weapon or at least the title, shader or ship. So -blam!- cheesing learn how to beat the game legit.

Beat the whole raid legit once. Very hard to find a group that doesn't want to cheese the bridge let alone Crota. Hardly anyone wants to waste their time killing the Deathsinger too, which I can't really blame them for, but still.
