If trading was added, players would get everything way too fast due to the number of players in the game getting good loot.
Soon there will be nothing new anymore.
Don't forget a black market will happen where people will sell these weapons for real money.
Trading is a shitty idea

It's not a bad idea. For someone with 2 gjallahorns, its value is much less than it is for someone with none. Same with someone who's got two mythoclasts or hawkmoons, etc. I see no reason why an anonymous system - where you're not joined up in a party so you can contact the other person and get real money off of them - will be a bad thing. This system is great for both people with lots of time who want to collect all the guns but keep getting repeats from xur or nightfall/raid drops, and for those who only have 1 character and don't have time to do all the material every week to try and bag the gun of their dreams.
-
How about equal for equal yellow for yellow purple for purple, husk of the pit could be an exception, and in order to trade for the mythoclast, you have to of beaten a hard raid, and same with necrocasm
-
Yellow for yellow is still not equal. A ghallajorn is 100x better than a super good advice. Trading is always a bad idea.
-
Only if person with said ghorn really wants super bad advice, it's all on how they value the gun my man
-
Getting exotics to trade still isn't balanced A person could just buy any exotic from Xur then use that to trade with someone else just because it is yellow.
-
But the price of that gun would drop because why trade it if you can just go buy it from xûr, the price as in someone attempting to trade it, and someone simply saying "na I'll just buy it from xûr", and the things people are willing to trade would be limited
-
There is no price. They are both yellow. That is the only criteria you mentioned to trade.
-
Indeed, but everything has an inherent price, thorn is better than bad ju ju, ghorn, is better than truth, and because of this someone won't read a throb for bad ju ju, or a truth for ghorn, this is a generality, there is more than likely someone that prefers truth and vice versa, but they are the exception, now if xûr sold say the ice breaker you wouldn't be able to trade that for as much as you would have prior, ergo its value drops as the market is saturated
-
I wouldn't say that weapons had much value in this game anyway thanks to Xur, so I don't really see why it matters if people want to trade. I have all exotic weapons apart from 3 because Xur sells them cheap. Don't see why we shouldn't have the option to trade if exotics are easy to get anyway.
