Gearbox did it for a borderlands player in bordeands 2. You'd find him in sanctuary and he'd give you a purple gun.

That's awesome! I didn't play Borderlands 2 long enough to realize that.

Yup even a trophy for it. He spawned in 5 spots. Each time a different purple gun. it's one reason I got respect for the gearbox crew. Yeah they dropped the ball on aliens and the duke. But what they did was awesome
