I'm kinda wondering why they chose to end the hive with crota. He isn't even the strongest of then all. If you listen to what they say you would know that Crota is the son of oryx and all the hive pray to oryx not crota so he must be tons stronger.
Related: that wouldn't be surprising if they let her go because I'm almost 100% sure Eris is blind until you give her the eyes of forsaken and I guess she used them.

Read the Crota grimiore card. Son of Oryx is just a title, his place in the hierarchy is debated, and he may be focal point of power, or the lowest of levels of dimensions of power. (Of of of of of of of)
