No, I got it this morning without the BWI. Killed a blade of Crota at skywatch and an acolyte seemed to drop it when I was head shotting for a bounty.

BWI not needed got mine in two tries. Too bad I'm only rank 1 on eris got a long way to go.

You are wasting a lot of BWI's if you think so. I have gotten two Husk's now. Neither time was I using a BWI. You don't need to do anything special other than kill a Blade of Crota to get it. It took me 83-90 to get my first one and in randomly playing today, I got one after 6 BoC kills.

I was just doing the blade of crota mission. Done it about 15 times and got nothing and then thought i might aswell use some BWI for extra glimmer. Popped it right before i killed him and i got the drop. Just finished upgrading it in dark beyond easy difficulty. Took 15 minutes

Yes, it is random. Some are luckier than others. But you shouldn't be telling people to use BWI's when they don't help get Husk at all.

RNG helped you. Literally had nothing to do with the BWI. It just so happened that you got it the next time while under the affects of a BWI. I got my husk of the pit while not on the BWI.

You don't need to use Black Wax Idol. I just went to finish my Blade kills, I already had 1 from earlier. Got it 1st BoC on Earth. It's RNG.
