Everything costs two shards to fully upgrade unless you have the weapon xur is selling, then it doesn't cost any shards since you can break down the old version.

You do realize that when you buy the upgraded weapon it takes away the one you're upgrading right? And what do you mean 2 shards? It's 1 exotic shard per exotic item. I think you're seriously misinformed sir.

And then when you max it out, that final upgrade costs another shard. If xur is selling the exotic you want to upgrade, rather than going through the update process, you buy the upgraded version for strange coins and break down the old version for a shard. Then it doesn't costs shards.

Plus it would drain all you're strange coins doing stuff like that, at least for people who aren't rolling in them. But I'm saying If you have a truth and you're like, I could upgrade it, or I could wait for the next DLC and upgrade it then for the same price. And, assuming he doesn't get another truth in that time, it would mean he could bump a pre-DLC1 truth to DLC2 status for 1 exotic shard. seems 2 OP 2 me. but yeah, one shard is winning so woot OP Xur upgrades!
