Crota is not difficult. You just need to have good team chemistry. You guys just must not be working together. My team and i completely the raid in 45 minutes last night and we took down Crota on the first try. It's all about teamwork.

now that you mention it, we had people that in hindsight were too cocky at the beginning, but by the end, everyone was just burnt out and done...

Also not all strategies will work with all teams. You just have to find a plan that works with your team.
