Wrong the child/ soon to be child is alive at the moment the sperm bonds with the egg, while technically not conscious or able to think, it is alive. If it isn't then at what point does the child become "living?"

No, that isn't really logical. The cells are alive, but so are bacteria, yet we don't like Ebola. There needs to be some neural development to call it "human".

But in my opinion, the baby is alive once it has a heartbeat. Aka, after most abortions are performed. Most abortions, after this tine, are fulfilled because of the mother dying from it/the baby dying.
