I got two drops from Crota's End this week. And they are sitting in my vault because it requires 14 radiant shards to surpass my VOG gear and just to match the vendor gear, another 7 to actually be better. So, that gear will be useful in approximately 4 weeks, if I got shards every time. Don't even get me started on the energy you would need also. At the very least the Nightfall and Weekly heroic should give radiant materials.
