I'm fine going solo on anything short of Nightfall Strikes; so far I haven't been on a Raid other than once with some of my clan, who nursed me as far as the Templar where we became stalled for an hour or so until I had to quit. (Honestly, that was probably my fault- everybody else had an Ice Breaker or some type of exotic weapon; my best was my Legendary Scout Rifle and The Swarm.) I am quite hoping to go raiding again soon, but finding a team is tricky given the hours I work.

I prefer to solo nightfall and weekly strikes (apart from this weeks. the melees 1 shot with no way to stagger made it impossible for me, does not mean I didn;t spend HOURS trying lol) every thing else I'd prefer to do in groups.

Double tap boss with p&t and run.. repeat never attack without fireborn. It is really rough though i have only done this week on 1 of my warlocks... i might muster up the effort to do it once more before reset.

naw it wasnt the boss that made it hard for me. it was the melees that run in and 1 shot you and no way to kill them in time. with otu stagger even unloading with a LMG doesnt get them. and thats if I notice. I stopped trying to kill em and just ran away for a while... but eventually I needed to.

To counter that the best way is using solar grenades with Sun breakers sometimes they just suicides on it and sometimes they just won't come past it. Running back the way you came they eventually stop following you works too if you have no grenade up. Also a weapon that penetrates through targets works wonders I like thorn for this you can kill two or three thralls a bullet.

thrall I'm good with. fate bringer takes them out in waves. its the shielded yellow bar melee captains that give me the most trouble. though the invis vandles have gotten me a few times too.
