Anyone else just get people who sit at the start and reap all the rewards while you do it solo?
Strike matchmaking is a joke.

They need to make the incentives more interesting for actually DOING something in the strike. More engram drops on kills, but only if you did some damage or... something. Something to make it not completely -blam!-ing pointless so that I don't wind up doing a 3 man mission alone. Or if I do, I should be -blam!-ing rewarded for killing everything. Come the -blam!- on Bungie, why don't you give a shit about players not having any good reasons to do you content? The people who do nothing? I get it. Because you don't get anything for doing anything. You don't get anything for kills. If you play well, you just wind up doing more of the work than the rest of your team. wtf is the point. Seems like all the smart people just hope to get someone who's stuck trying to finish 25 strikes or something, who will go ahead just to get through it, so they can do nothing. All the areas are, seriously, are -blam!-ing timewalls so you can't progress without wasting a certain amount of time. No loot drops on mini bosses/waves? NOT EVEN FOR A -blam!-ING BLUE WITH A CHANCE OF BEING A LEGENDARY? Have you never -blam!-ing seen a dungeon in games that have these sort of activities in your life? Why? Why do it this way? Bungie you -blam!-ing suck, this game could have been so great but it is NOT because you forgot to make the shit in the game that is fun worth doing. "But you just said it was fun!" Yes. It is fun. It could be more fun if there was a -blam!-ing reason to keep doing it. I'd love a reason to keep playing the content that's now left over after you gutted your game, or released it incomplete, or just overpromised and this is the shitty reality---whatever it is. I'd love to keep doing it. If you'd make it so that doing it actually gives me a -blam!-ing chance to get the -blam!-ing rewards that are built into the -blam!-ing games. If I do a strike? I should get more than two -blam!-ing engrams every time. If I participate in killing a mini boss, or a wave, I should -blam!-ing get something. I shouldn't understand the reasons why people just want to skip everything, or AFK and hope for the best, but I do. I really do. Do something about it. Give the players who play your game rewards.

1 ReplyEverytime, i report then and go solo. Theres no much i can do.
-
1 ReplyNeed 1 person for the weekly nightfall strike add Denis_Rodmin or ToniKucochi
-
2 RepliesSeriously, I see so many of these topics but I VERY rarely see an AFK'er in a strike... Why would that be?
-
The higher you level and the higher level strike playlists you do, the less this happens. Most of it I find stops at or past the level 24 playlist.
-
No damage on boss equals no rewards. How is this difficult for Bungie to implement?

Edited by Vixia: 12/16/2014 7:31:07 PMI'll take afkers over the buttholes who chase you around and try to knock you off cliffs. Idk if I'm doing something to deserve it but I swear over half of the lobbies I am matched up with has at least one guy who is adamant that I need to be punched around, sparrow pushed, or nudged off cliffs, regardless of what I'm doing. Bunch of weenies is what they are ༼ ಠل͟ಠ༽

I get a lot of solid teams. Occasionally I get some asshat that tries to stay on his speeder as long as possible, ramming me or doing other stupid things.
-
In my case it is so difficult to even get one player to join my striker missions.... feels lonely to do them. if at all there are anyone who does strike missions often, do add me on PSN kryptoboz87

1 ReplyThere should be a "majority rules" kick button
-
Report them..
-
4 RepliesYou know what grinds my gears? In the nexus people like to stay up top lately. I jump down and if they leave me by myself I hide behind the plate. Seems fair to me.
-
1 ReplyReport for inactivity and leave. Don't even waste your time.
-
3 RepliesIt would be nice if bungee would patch it so if you don't move within 3 mins you get kicked
-
2 RepliesI did it today. I went and pooped then took a shower. I got a legendary engram while I sat in a cave
-
When they do this, I just leave and find another strike.
-
Quit and rejoin, not everyone does it.
-
Yep. Really annoyed me. Think the guy was doing the A Dubious Task bounty and needed to complete strikes without dying!
-
Nope never gotten matched with ppl like that.
-
I don't think I've ever had this happen to me. I have had people leave soon as the strike begins though.
-
Maybe so, it really helps to have a big group of friends to play with you.

6 RepliesAs much as I hate that and thought there were NO worse players, I learned otherwis in a Roc Valus Ta'aurc strike last night. 2 jag-offs in a clan together kept trying to kill me with their freakin sparrows dozens and dozens and dozens of times. After about 10 minutes of it (and me almost always avoiding it or climbing up on a rooftop or cliff top and sitting down watching them kill themselves over and over or see one of them killed by a lieutenant, other than the two resets which bleeped me off to no end) one finally gave up, the other kept doing it til the end. The one now playing I revived a half dozen times since he was finally trying, but the other a-hole I'd just let sit til he self-revived. (In the interest of honesty, once we got to the end, I may have tea-bagged his idiot corpse a time or two just to make a point). I could have left, but I'm one of those that simply could NOT let him get what he wanted. Besides, best revenge, I carried them through and won and actually got the best drops. If you want to be a complete moron, do it on a patrol or something...why the bleep are you even on a strike if you're not trying to complete it? Anybody else run into idiots like this?

2 RepliesMe and a friend carried an AFKer last night. I got Uni Remote (YAY*shard*) and he got a big bag of sweet FA. Next strike was Sepiks, he was still AFK so I sparrow-pushed him into a group of hive, and revived him a few times before I left. Oh, and yes, I reported him. What a douche-baron.
-
Worst one happened last night for me. I turned around, one guy started moving. The other guy waved, then sat down. Stayed there for the entire archon Priest mission on the level 26 strike -_-
-
Seemingly happens almost every other match, I cannot lie I have had to step away from a strike to answer the door or do something real quick. But I always return shortly and get back to the Strike asap. But anyway some people are just douches. If you wanna add me i'll strike with you all day man (Patrlck86 - xbox one)
